                                Class: I Rotated Hub Doubling CCW.

         Description: Doubling seen on IN GOD WE TRUST, Date, LIBERTY, strong Hair doubling seen on top and towards the back of the head.

Reverse Description: New ( Tripling is seen on EDS and earlier die states ) Some tripling seen on the bottoms of NIT of united, both lower serif's of the two S in states, Many other letters have extra wide but mushy serif's making it difficult to tell if more tripling is present. Strong CCW spread in the form of split serifs is seen on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, doubling is also seen on E.PLURIBUS, the earth and its land masses, Branch, leaves and craters, FG.

                                Markers: Obverse full serif R in liberty. scratches in eye pocket, diagonal die scratch going NE to SE into the the second arm of the W on the inside, die chip seen on the lower right leg of the W in We, two long die scratches behind ear.. Reverse die scratches seen around the moon, below and above, left and right of the moon, A scratch in the form of an X is seen on the moon at 2 O'clock and one more X in the field slightly north and east of the moon, scratches under the eagles left wing also under the last long feather there is a die chip with one more smaller chip to the right of the first chip.

                                Comments. Obverse EDS Reverse EDS.. Anacs old holder MS64.. second coin Obverse EDS Reverse EDS.. Anacs 4057271 MS63.. Reverse tripling can be seen in EDS and EDS. Great collectible die.

This reverse die is tripled in early die states, at or about when the obverse die changed..   as the die produced more coins the tripling became mushy, abrasion, polishings, wear, these factors contributed to the die loosing it's tripling to a mushy look and looking only doubled.

Obverse This hub family 5 now has 5 different working die's that have produced similar patterns, as family groups go usually have many family members, however to date family 5 has only a few members, five from hub 5.

The Reverse family 10 is a CCW rotated class 1, nice spread and like the obverse so far a less used hub 10 ( Tripled and to date just this one in this direction ) because of the tripling IDDD is contemplating elevating this reverse die to the working die as of 2008 meaning single stand alone die status, if my work holds true that this die is actually a working die tripled die, and it is, I need to determine if other die's have a same tripling, if not we will have another stand alone die to add to the as of 2008 list. date is 4/28/2012, within a few months I should have completed this investigation.
