Population: 1. Obverse Working die-DD for Hub/Die Family 7.. Reverse Hub/Die family 2.
Comments: Obverse LDS/EMDS.. Anacs old holder 2980636 PF69 D/Cam.. This die is from the same family as old reference ( WDDO-032 ) different working die then WDDO-32 with a different mint mark placement.
Note: The above reference cut line: When a proof die is first made before it is used frosting is added to the die, a clear cellophane like shield is put on the die then with a fine cutting tool the cellophane is etched out at the very edge of the head bus neckline and for the reverse the Eagle, moon, and with the land in the field meet, the cellophane is left on the field and removed from the central design so it can be frosted, once this final step is done the dies ready for striking, this system of adding cellophane to protect the field when frosting the central design elements is done to enhance the look of the coins that are produced on the die, the same system can be used when a repair is done on the die, after all the repairs are done the cellophane can be put back on the die and run the same process again, this is the reason why we find many coins and later die states looking as though it was a brand-new die that had never been used before.

Obverse VEDS strike AA: Close WE ( W & E touch ) is not abraded at this stage.. ( Space between the W and E of WE touch or very close too touching one another, a residue bridge may be seen between the WE do to polishing ) polished at this stage.
Obverse EDS strike A: Close WE.. Die can be abraded at this stage, die's are polished at this stage. ( Space between the W & E of WE are close too each other but do not touch, also the edges of the WE are well defined )
Obverse EMDS strike B: Semi close WE ( Space seen between the W & E of WE ) die's have been polished multiple times at this stage, abraded at least once, the edges of W & E are not defined very well from polishings, from this point and on the space seen between the W and E of WE will continue to grow, general note, because of die abrasion and polishings many letters are not crisp and have loss of detail.
Obverse MDS strike C: Open WE ( The W & E of WE now have a wide open space between them ) the letters W & E of WE can be weak at the tops of both letters do to abrading and polishings. some letters show weakness towards the center ( head-bust ) on occasion the weakness is seen towards the rim ( Tops of letters )
Obverse LMDS strike D: Open W E.. at this point the die has been polished & abraded many times, the space between the W & E is wide now and the WE can be deformed at this stage of the die's life, at this stage some doubled die's are not attributable because of ware of the die and all the die abrasions and polishings the die received.
Obverse Late. strike E: Only ( Wide open W E in We, the letters are well deformed and apart from each other do to die abrasions and polishings it has received by this time ) the die may fail at this point from ware as well, only the strongest doubled die can be attributed at this stage.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
